Year 2

$532.00

(1) The contract is between yourself (the student) one side, and Mahmoud Salem and Ali Ben Saad (otherwise referred to Al-Majd Seminary) on the other side. This is a form of Ijara' where we are responsible to bring teachers to teach the specified books for the number of hours listed (the contract is only for one semester and we will renew prior to next semester)* where every hour of class time is pro-rated at $7 USD. The teachers are not specified meaning that we may change teachers mid-way if the circumstances pushes us to do so (however, we hope our teachers will stick with us as is the habit for the majority of them).

(2) This contract makes you bound to pay the full amount, however, we do accept monthly payments (amounts are listed below). There is NO refund policy even if you stop attending classes. The earliest you can stop paying is after paying all of the semester’s fees. As much as we would like to refund students if their circumstances change, this - almost - breaks the program unless someone pays the deficits created from students leaving the program. With this being said, if the unfortunate case happens, please feel free to reach out, but with no expectation that we have to refund.

(3) The class times are as agreed upon in the Telegram channels (based on each student's program). If the times were to change, we will get everyone's consent before changing. If one does not respond within 24 hours, we assume that one is agreeing to the change. If the times - as they are now - do not fit you, and you still sign up, we thank you for your generosity. However, we would like you to be fully aware that you are giving up this right of yours.

(4) Audio recordings will be available InShaaAllah as part of the contract (and as a non-binding attempt we will try to make sure video recordings are available as well). Recordings will be posted one week after the live class - at most. However, we strive to post them within 48 hours or even 24 hours.

(5) If no student shows up to class, the cost is on the students, and we will not be obligated to arrange a make-up class (however we will try to coordinate with the relevant Shaykh to make them up). This allows for the smooth inflow of the salary to the Shaykh instead of any disruptions caused by absences and it pushes students to not skip classes.

(6) If a Shaykh misses classes - beyond the allocated vacation weeks (please check the yearly schedule for details) integrated in the program - we will be responsible to arrange other classes that suit the same people who were able to attend the cancelled class. Otherwise, we will be liable to refund this class unless you forgive us!

* Hours & Prices are:

Year 1 (Semester 1): 76 hours in total ($532/semester 1). Please review attached document in Telegram (via the G-Drive Link) for the detailed breakdown of the hours per subject. Please note that 8 hours have been already taught (or will be very soon) - from the hours in the breakdown sheet - as a gift to students.

Year 2 (Semester 1): 76 hours in total ($532/semester 1). Please review attached document in Telegram (via the G-Drive Link) for the detailed breakdown of the hours per subject. Please note that 8 hours have been already taught (or will be very soon) - from the hours in the breakdown sheet - as a gift to students.

Year 4 (Semester 1): 103 hours in total ($721/semester 1). Please review attached document in Telegram (via the G-Drive Link) for the detailed breakdown of the hours per subject. Please note that 9 hours have been already taught (or will be very soon) - from the hours in the breakdown sheet - as a gift to students.

Please note:

(1) Every hour comes with an assumed 10-minute break for the teacher. So, 60-minute class is approximately 50 minutes in reality (and please forgive us and the Mashayikh in the rare cases this takes slightly longer - it averages out generally speaking).

(2) Teachers may choose to allocate hours slightly differently from what we mentioned earlier, but the general outline stays the same. Also, beginner books (Year 1) particularly may differ for the benefit of the students, but we will maintain the same appropriate level - as determined by the instructor. This will include things like adding sections on Ashmawiyyah. Also, Aqeedah book may be Al-Ma’rifah or Al-Kharidah based on the choice of the teacher.

(3) Two weeks worth of classes per semester (7th and 14th weeks) are reserved for review and/or exams whether written while in class or verbal/oral exams within class time.
